A little about me

Behind the image.

I’m Anson, a student filmmaker who started out in photography.

For about three years, still photographs were how I explored images and told stories. Eventually, I wanted to follow those stories beyond a single frame: to hear a space, watch a moment unfold, and decide how long to stay with it. That curiosity brought me to filmmaking.

Over the past two to three years, I’ve been learning cinematography while also directing, editing, and working with sound. I’m a bit of a camera nerd, and I love trying different lenses and setups. What keeps me interested is seeing how those choices change the feeling of a scene.

The films here are part of that learning process, from personal experiments to projects made with friends. Each gives me something new to figure out. I’m still learning how to put what I imagine on screen, and I’d like to study filmmaking in greater depth as I keep making work.
